Precise frequency meter

Precise frequency meter

2014-11-06 by David Kellett

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a precise frequency meter? I would like to tune oscillators to precise frequency ratios.

Thanks,

David

Hello David

I use the Dave Jones "o'Tool" (http://www.jonesvideo.com/ and
http://www.jonesvideo.com/products/OTOOL_instructions.pdf). Beside other
intriguing ;) functions it contains a frequency counter and a tuner too.
The frequencycounter is not temperature compensated (see manual), but
for relative measurements it is very useful.

Florian

I had looked at that - but I believe it is not available at the moment? I'll look again though.

Thanks,

David

I had ordered it through Schneidersladen, and I waited also two or three
months. It looks like David Jones is them only producing if enough
dealer orders are put.

If you are in the UK: The hardware equipment of the BBC video studios is
on auction:

Or look on ebay for HP or Rhode&Schwartz counters
