Help about A-100 Monster Case Verbinders

Help about A-100 Monster Case Verbinders

2016-07-20 by vclab@protonmail.com

Hi Dieter and friends!
im in contact with thomann about but need to make sure about 2 things for these parts:

A-100 Monster Case Verbinder gerade A-100PMVG (straight)

A-100 Monster Case Verbinder gewinkelt A-100PMVW (angled)

- are these parts the latest revised versions (2016)?

- and how it works ... modules should be removed to join the cases and re-installed or everything happens from the outside? any close photo with the screws and the iron little thing-joiner?

Kind regards

All the screwing together is external. If you put a case on top of a monster base you can do it with both cases with there kids on - to avoid miss hap with dropping on onto the modules of another. To put an angled one on top - I think it would be much easier if the top on is empty -when full they are really heavy!! You have to get a mate to hold it in place while you do the screws / bolts up and it would be tricky with the weight - you might need two good friends to hold it up for that!!

thanks very much David, thats great!!
i needed to short this out because im moving often and cant stand removing modules each time to screw/unscrew the cases!! thats fantastic!

what about the stability of the "roof" case??
it is a bit scary when looking at some pictures ... is it steady enough? install and forget?

Father Dieter if you see this
... please can you confirm that part numbers are correct for the final "safer" revisions?

all the best,

Ioannis

I have a monster base with two PMS12s on top. The top one angled. It seems very steady and stable. The base and first case are full the top one is a bit empty still. I think it is sensible to fill from the bottom stability wise.

Are attachments allowed here? Here is a photo if they are:

Hello Ioannis,

I don't know what you mean with "final safer revisions"

From our our side there was only a prototype of the connectors mentioned
(with knurled screws instead of hexagon screws and a hinge for the angled
version). But we never sold this version due to safety reasons. Knurled
screws can be loosened easily by anybody which may be a problem during a
live gig or - as it happened in our case - during an exhibition. And the
hinge version was not stable enough.

Best wishes

Good news!! A PMS12 or two is always good. I'm very happy with mine.
