John, you’re talking about a toroidal. 
When you’re talking about the PSU2 you’re right but the PSU3 doesn’t have that.

Hi Jacco,

I can see the toroidal. These cases were purchased in 2014 so I guess these must be PSU2s. Is the PSU3 a switched mode PSU then? Is it super quiet?

Hi John,

I’ve got a few cases with PSU2 and PSU3.
PSU3 is a switched supply and noiseless.
You could change them, it’s easy.
