A147-2 VCDLFO question

A147-2 VCDLFO question

2018-12-25 by exakoustidismiltiadis@hotmail.com

Hello and happy christmas to everyone,

I am using an external clock e.g from dark time to sync/reset the A147-2,

as soon as I am increasing the frequency knob of the lfo, the outputs are in perfect

sync with the external clock. As soon as I am decreasing the frequency knob I have no

output signal from the lfo, the leds are not blinking. Is it a normal behaviour?

Best regards,

Miltos

Hello,

please make sure that the output level of the Gate/Clock/Reset/Start/Stop
outputs is set to +12V (not +5V).
And make sure that the frequency of the A-147-2 is not too low. The
frequency of the A-147-2 should be not much less than the clock signal
coming from the Dark Time. Otherwise the period of the A-147-2 is to low to
generate a noticeable signal before the next reset appears.

Best wishes

Dieter thank you very much for your answer! No, the outputs you mentioned are +5V.
I suppose that changing the level to +12V are not going to damage the other modules, mostly Doepfer.
At first I will offset the signal of the clock output of Dark Time and I will report here!

Best regards

Miltos

None of the Doepfer A-100 modules can be damaged with +12V gate/trigger
level.
