Oh no! Well goodbye everyone, and thanks for all the help, support and advice over the years.
If a new incarnation of this group migrates elsewhere, I’d be happy go along…
Regards,

Is it not just the files that we can’t have? The group can continue?

We'll also lose the history of the conversations, Scott, which are more like threads on the Yahoo website.
It's a really crude interface, and it can be a struggle to use, but it makes previous conversations searchable, and preserves them - at the moment.
If you read a thread on groups.io, it's a lot less of a struggle, and more like using a forum.
Oddly, the guy behind that is the same one who originally developed Yahoo groups, before he left to start his own company, some years ago. I guess the difference is, he's moved on, while Yahoo just kept using what he wrote years ago but "improving it" so it didn't work nearly as well as it used to.
I am not affiliated etc, but I have signed up for a group there. I'm waiting to see if the YamahaDX group import/transfer moves my account too. If not, I'll just sign up for it as a new user.
I
don’t know what everyone is panicking about. The email lists are
NOT going away, just the files.
It is also the web based access which will go away, the calendars
(not so important for A100), the polls (quite important for A100)
and (most important) the archiving. The contents won't be searchable
anymore.
