andreas,
i`m not even sure that they are completely done designing the a-107 vcf yet.
i know they had a prototype but may be doing redesign based on suggested
features.
i agree, though, that it is something i want to get unless it becomes
prohibitively expensive - a sometimes bad side effect of adding those
suggested features !
as far as the a-108, though, i got one of these a while back and have been
very pleased with it. the 48db/oct filtering is very nice and the 6db/oct
output has seen a lot of use, too - its perfect for adding just a touch of
filtering to a sound. so, depending on whatever issues are most important to
you, you might want to give the a-108 a second look.
on the a-109 - well, if it had been available when i first started building
up my system, it might have been handy and space saving but having acquired
the vc panner and vca`s and vcf`s already it didn`t really say "buy me" to
me. maybe in the future after i get other things i feel i need first to
augment the system but not now. just my 2 cents worth................
best,
dave

Ok, as it seems I will definitely wait for the a107 too appear and if it
goes way crazy in price I will settle with some other multimode, but I
definitely need a multimode.

Tell us why? Wouldn't a LPF + HPF be more versatile?

I actually would need an lpf+hpf and another lpf in that case cause what I
want to do is to have them in series. And of course the a107 has a whole lot
of slopes and variation that the other dopefer filter doesn't have, but sure
I have thought about tha hpf too.
