Re: AS MS20 Filter

Re: AS MS20 Filter

2003-02-18 by jmaddocks1975 <jmaddocks1975@yahoo.co.uk>

I have the sy02 filter and I am very happy with it.
I have an MS10 and the low pass sounds exactly the same, very
strange hearing the MS filter sound coming from my a100 (or AS).

hey list,
would someone be kind enough to start an ANALOGUE
SOLUTIONS yahoo group??i'm not saying that because of
the extended talk about concussor modules(feel
free...),but beccause there isn't such a list
yet....and we all have bits and pieces of
concussor!!!!:-)(i have a 6u concussor system with all
the drum modules and the speech-synth,sy01,mt16.)

Q about the Speech synt

2003-02-19 by d_n_f_n <dnfn@post.com>

hi Bakis! since there is no Concussor group yet..
(im not the right person to moderate that since i dont have the
time...when i have time to patch my Doepfer my 9months baby
girl usually "helps" tearing out patchcords and singalong... )
..im wondering how this "Speech synth module" works for you
Bakis, what do you think about it, have you been able to complete
sentences with it (using MIDI? or do you use it with analog
sequencers?)

Re: Q about the Speech synt

hello martin,

i don't have the speech module, but i made a software simulation
for native instruments reaktor. it is VERY difficult to create
real sentences. i normally ended up with the creation of
senseless, but very cool sounding sequences :-)

best wishes

Re: Q about the Speech synt

2003-02-19 by d_n_f_n <dnfn@post.com>

Sounds cool! i may be able to get hold of a Reaktor to my G4, any
way i could purhase/trade this on with you? Ive got some formant
charts, so it would not be impossible to create som coll hooks
like: pump up that volume!...or....one..two..three..techno....or...das
boot... ;-) But the best/nicest way would be to do this with a
module in my system.

Re: Q about the Speech synt

2003-02-19 by selfoscillate <synaptic_music@yahoo.com>

both the concussor speech module and my reaktor ensemble
use allophone samples. the samples have different durations
and that is the main problem. if you want the machine to speak
like a real person, you have to make sure, that the
samples have the correct distance (the new sample must start
immediately, when the previous sample reaches it's end.
this means, a quantized sequence (f.e. 16th) would sound
totally unnatural, but that doesn't mean, that it will
sound bad ;-)

best wishes
