Doepfer

Does anyone out there know of a good reference source for graphics of 
waveforms or spectra for acoustic instruments.  I'm keen to emulate  
the 'Tomita' thing - mixing some way out effects you can get with a 
decent size Doepfer with some incredibly realistic synthesized 
instruments (albeit he did it with a Moog 3C!).  I'm good at the way 
out effects thing but emulating a decent Cello?  I would certainly 
find a reference of existing instruments invaluable as something to 
work to (I know that times have moved and I could just use a sampler 
and buy some time with the London Symphony Orchestra but that takes 
the fun and challenge out of it ;-)).

Has anyone come across something like this?
