hi list,
do you know if there is a difference between a phase shifter module
and a comp.filter module??do you think that it would make sense to
make a poll about a comp.filter module??(can this module be used for
flanger/chorus effects??)anyone??florian??

As far as I know the typical phase shifting effect is caused by the comb filter phenomenon. The difference between chorus, phaser and flanger is just in the delay time. Additionaly, flanger uses feedback.

What do you want to say? Do you mean a comb-filter? (comb like brush).

"Comb filter" effect can be achieved either by an allpass filter (which is
used also for phaser) or by a delay. Both do similar but technically not
identical effects.

BTW: Paul Schulz mismatches the cause and the phenomenon: The "comb
filtered signal" is the phenomenon; the cause is the mix of a delayed or
allpass filtered signal with its original signal.
