it IS possible to do a replacement of the ua726... i just did it, and 
its not that hard.. i cant tell any "sound quality" difference here..
right now im just using two transistors instead of the ua726, but one 
could use the lm3046 and then have a resistor to warm the thing up 
above room temperature..to archieve better tuning stability..
i have one working vco, but another thats not working.. one of the 
ic´s get very hot when i turn the thing on.. i have tried to replace 
it but nothing happens... i suspect one of the transistors are toast..
too bad, 
and by the way.. 
anybody got the 12db filter? does your res/octave pot worke reversed 
when you put it in HP mode`?? mine does, and its not fully working.., 
it has this weird noise..
