it IS possible to do a replacement of the ua726... i just did it, and its not that hard.. i cant tell any "sound quality" difference here.. right now im just using two transistors instead of the ua726, but one could use the lm3046 and then have a resistor to warm the thing up above room temperature..to archieve better tuning stability.. i have one working vco, but another thats not working.. one of the ic´s get very hot when i turn the thing on.. i have tried to replace it but nothing happens... i suspect one of the transistors are toast.. too bad, and by the way.. anybody got the 12db filter? does your res/octave pot worke reversed when you put it in HP mode`?? mine does, and its not fully working.., it has this weird noise.. troels.

If anybody needs some ua726's I have a secret stash that I've been saving. I don't mind selling a few off for those in need. ac

(tests and papers deadlines on the horizon... not that much free time on my hands right now...)

well... you find the specs papers for the ua726,and the spec papers for the ca3046 and find out what pin is e,b,c and then you take a little perfbord or something and solder an empty housing for a 16pin ic on, then you connect the correct wires from your formant vco to your empty house, and then you put an ca3046 in the house, and then...voila, it works perfectly, i didnt even need any temp. control, the vco is stable!! ill draw a precise schematic for you within two days or so, if you need it troels. _________________________________________________________________ F\ufffd nye ringetoner til mobilen http://www.msn.dk/mobile/logoringetone/ringetoner/
