Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Actually, you get a loss of resolution both ways, shifting down you have to 
'make up' samples, shifting up you have to toss away samples. Either way, 
the resolution of the sample is compromised. Thats why multi-samples are 
important :)

It might be better to use the files area on Egroups, then its cleanly 
archived - I've noticed on other groups that recently Egroups has started 
removing attachments on OLD mail messages in the archives...

As for patches attached, single patches for the VFX series are so small I 
don't think there's a problem, but if anyone else has a problem with it, 
please let me know :)

(Ie, as of this moment, the policy is 'patches being attached are ok', I'd 
draw the line at anything bigger than about 64k (which should be enough to 
allow people to attach whole bank dumps, if they want), I'd certainly frown 
upon attaching big MP3's for example.
