Sorry, Marvin, but as far as I can tell, you didn't answer the
original question!  [ The "sequencer" stays loaded, yes.  The "OS" is on
the disk, you can load it with the menus.  All well & good, but you
never answered whether "sequencing software" is the same thing as, or
part of, the "os"! ]  Not trying to "correct" you, just want to make
sure there's clear communications here.

So I'm appending this:

YES, slientchild, the sequencer is part of the OS that you load from
disk.  You want to load this to get the features you're missing.
