VFX-SD: Sequencer on OS disk?

VFX-SD: Sequencer on OS disk?

2004-01-12 by silentchildus

Please excuse the newbie question, but does the sequencing software
load with the OS when you load the OS from a disk, or is it on a
separate disk? When I try to use the sequencer (by pressing any of
the sequencer buttons) I get a message saying "I need to load the
sequencer" or "no sequencer loaded" or whatever the standard message
is. I haven't yet reloaded the OS, but I downloaded one (VFXSD
v2.1/2.0 OS) from route66 and the site doesn't clarify whether the
sequencer is included.

The sequencer once loaded will stay loaded unless you reinitialize the unit. The os system should be on one of discs. When you load go into your load menu & scroll thru it, it should ask you if you ish to load the os. If you are having problems, or can't find it. send me an email to my personal emal address with your phone #, I can call you when I get home & walk you thru it, or / and I can send you a copy on the OS. You also may be able to download the OS from the ensoniq web site.

Sorry, Marvin, but as far as I can tell, you didn't answer the
original question! [ The "sequencer" stays loaded, yes. The "OS" is on
the disk, you can load it with the menus. All well & good, but you
never answered whether "sequencing software" is the same thing as, or
part of, the "os"! ] Not trying to "correct" you, just want to make
sure there's clear communications here.

So I'm appending this:

YES, slientchild, the sequencer is part of the OS that you load from
disk. You want to load this to get the features you're missing.
