There is certainly no direct way to send a bank select message. I belive the bank select message is two Continuous Controller messages, CC #0 <MSB> CC #32 <LSB>. There is a VFX feature, I think it's called X-ctrl, to be able to deal with an unusual CC#. But I can't even remember if it deals with send or receive. Even if you could send one CC message with it, I don't think you'd be able to get it to send both CC #0 and CC#32. I believe the TS-10 (next Ensoniq generation after the VFX and SD-1 series) got bank select messages. To control a JV-1080, which has multiple banks, I use the method Dan mentioned of placing all patches you want in one bank (the user writable bank in my case). --> Steve
