I've had mine for 10 years now. And I have literally beat the living daylights out of it. It's been left on for weeks at a time, played in Sub Zero Temperatures, Dropped several times, thrown (once), Constant transportation, Daily pounding use for 10 years. The power supply does get hot, but mine has never caused me any problems, well, one time the OS got corrupted somehow, and it would blow a fuse everytime I tried to load stuff from disk, but once I got the OS re-loaded (this was about 7 years ago) with a new OS disk, I haven't had a single problem. Nothing holds up like this thing has, I've been really amazed at the thing holding up not only durability wise for 10 years, but as far as sound quality wise. I've been wanting an 88 Key replacement, but even then, I'm still not putting this thing away, it's been with me a long long time, and has been a really good friend despite how much I've abused it. -Al --- In Ensoniq-VFX-SD@yahoogroups.com, "Michael C Lesko" <MichaelL33@p...> wrote: > Has anyone else had that same experience of the SD-1 overheating?
