Early SD1's (the 21-voice version) had the 25,000 note sequencer on board with an upgrade available to 75,000 notes. The later 32-voice SD1's came with the 75,000 note sequencer standard. The differences between the VFX-SD and the SD1 (VFX-SD2 basically) are really only in a handful of samples added, and I think the VFX-SD has only 25,000 note sequencer, vs 75,000 on the SD1.
