We have the answers because we learned 'em the hard way. Yep, Ensoniq heat sinks get hot. Best procedure is an air conditioned studio (not trying to be a smart alec...) and a small fan aimed at the heat sink to draw off the heat. Lots of ventilation is the best course of action. I've never noticed a tuning fluctuation, but it's certainly possible. I've noticed erratic timekeeping by the sequencer when it gets really warm. Try the fan thing. >>> <oize@...> 03/21 4:08 PM >>> You guyz seem to have all the answers :) Here's another question for you: my VXF-SD seems to be overheating - at least the heat sink gets extremely hot within 20 minutes of powering up. And unless I'm mistaken, this is causing a fluctuation in the tuning. Is there a known fix for this or is it a 'fan & ice' situation? Thanks in advance.
