Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Re: controlling SD-1 with a VFXSD

Ben,
You are right. I was looking in the wrong place. I have the SD-1 clock set to external and the VFXSD can trigger the drum sequence. Thank you!!! Don't know what I would do without this group. Every time I've had a problem, one of you has come up with the solution. I really appreciate you all. Thank you!!!!
Sandy

I think you're looking at the wrong part of the VFXsd manual.
You're trying to control a sequence in your SD-1 from your VFXsd.
How do you want to control it, though? Do you want the tempo
synched so that it'll play along with a sequence from your VFXsd?
If that's the case, you just need to look for something that talks
about "external clock" synchronization for the SD-1. It should be
somewhere in the sequencer or system section of the OS, I think.
Midi out on the VFXsd to Midi in on the SD-1, of course. After this
is set, you should be able to just press play on the VFXsd and the
SD-1's sequencer should start right up.

If I've misunderstood your question, I apologize. Good luck and I
hope that I've been helpful! ; )

God Bless,

Ben
