AW: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] A question for Richard

2005-03-25 by Hans Artmann

Dorothy,
You might want to download the file power.zip from
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Ensoniq-VFX-SD/files/Tools/Schemati
cs/
There are some diodes CR1 to CR8 follwing the fuses. I can remember that
I had a dead display because one of the fuses was blown (I can't
remember which one it was). So it could well be one of these diodes.
Check the voltages given in the schematics to find out which circuit's
wrong.

The power supply hasn't changed very much from the vanilla VFX to the
SD.

I hope this helps,
Hans

Betreff: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] A question for Richard

Hi there, In an earlier post you mentioned a diode replacement on
the power supply board to correct the problem of the display not
activating. I think I killed this diode by starting up when it was
still very cold! Anyway, I have opened it up and checked everything
on that board; everything is labeled, but only found C1, C2, C3, C5,
R5, and R6 suspect by using a volt meter. So where is the diode?
Those items sound like capacitors and resistors. Help please! Dorothy
