David, I loved it. This brought a smile to my face.Thanks. My Ensoniq SD1 (32) is still in great shape, still has the original battery which shows a good voltage level and is still in excellent working order and I wouldn't part with it in a million years. I gig it every week and it faultlessly (mostly ;o) plays back my entire set. I only wish my 25 year marriage, which ended 4 days ago was built as steady.I'd give up my Ensoniq for that.Any magic potions for trade? Thanks again for the smile. "My low tech solution", minus one unnecessary step... Who cares what you weigh?! Don't even bother getting on the scale. As Mark indicated, "Pack it up cause package & protection adds weight." Now... remember, stay off the scale! Now, place your packaged SD-1 on the scale and see what IT weighs. This will eliminate 3 problems. 1) You will remain in the dark about your own weight- hence, avoiding an ugly fact, in the event that you are gluttenous, water-retaining sea cow, 2) You will avoid falling off the scale like the clumsy idiot that Bob in El Segundo was describing, and 3) You will not have the scale hidden from your sight "because the package is in the way". All of our thanks should go out to Bob and Mark for their hot tips for determining the wieght of an SD-1. Best regards, David _____ Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell?
