Today it powered up ( the display lit up the "Warning low battery" message, and the sounds that I have saved on the cartridge were able to be heard through the headphones)But, last night the unit would not power up. No display, no sound through the headphones. Nothing. It's the wierdest thing. I have a few Ensoniq boards so I took a power cord from one of the other units last night and tried it...But I got nothing.I have pampered this board all it's life and now it's getting a little tweaky.I love this board.Chris-------------- Original message --------------

Please define "won't power up".....if you have switched the power switch on and off a few times and mean there are no lights, no display, etc....check the power cord, fuse, etc.....or maybe the power supply has gone......the battery will not keep the unit from lighting up....BobEl Segundo, CA----- Original Message -----From: chrisriche@comcast.netSent: Sunday, July 15, 2007 1:39 AMSubject: Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Re: Original Ensoniq EEPROM Cartridges - a question

There is a modification that can be done to a normal cartridge where
you change the preset PROM for a EEPROM.
Here you go:-

I guess both are rare to find anyway these days.
Ive got a VPC-100 cartidge here.
Infact i thinking of selling my VFX as im moving soon and i need to
downsize everything.
If anyone wants the details PM me.
Im in the UK.

I think I would keep this board on if
possible....that way it's there when you need it....
