Please pardon my ignorance.....What is the PSU? Chris -------------- Original message -------------- From: "gonzinigonz" <gonzinigonz@...> I think i remember this happening to my VFX. The user ram gets scrambled and crashes it when it boots. Sounds like you need to replace the battery so that process will clear out the ram. You will have to reinitialize the VFX after then it should work ok if theres no other issues with it. The PSU's can be a problem on these, dry joints and failing caps. I think i need to do mine as it goes.. --- In Ensoniq-VFX-SD@yahoogroups.com, chrisriche@... wrote: > > I think I am going to purchase a battery replacement on e-bay. Then see how it goes. No display, no sound through the headphones. Nothing. It's the wierdest thing. I have a few Ensoniq boards so I took a power cord from one of the other units last night and tried it...But I got nothing. > > I have pampered this board all it's life and now it's getting a little tweaky. > I love this board. > > Chris > > -------------- Original message -------------- > From: "Bob S." <tttsystems@...> > > Please define "won't power up".....if you have switched the power switch on and off a few times and mean there are no lights, no display, etc....check the power cord, fuse, etc.....or maybe the power supply has gone......the battery will not keep the unit from lighting up.... > > Bob > El Segundo, CA > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: chrisriche@... > To: Ensoniq-VFX-SD@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Sunday, July 15, 2007 1:39 AM > Subject: Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Re: Original Ensoniq EEPROM Cartridges - a question > > > I have a VFX that has been getting the replace battery message for awhile and today it won't power up.
