I too love my SD-1, I have a TS-10 also, but I like the sounds in the SD-1 much better. To begin with, I am not a musician, but I am the worship leader at my church. I create sequences using Band-In-A Box and then edit the sequences on the SD-1. There I change instrumentation, edit drums, and break the song down into parts, intro, verse chorus, bridge, free worship, ending, etc. The most powerful part of the Ensoniq sequencer is the ability to change parts on the fly. We can do the song any way the Spirit leads, changing parts on the fly without a glitch and without any audible hint that the sequence has changed. We can do the chorus as many time as we like, go into free worship ( usually a 2 or 4 bar loop), stay there awhile, go back to the chorus and into the ending. The way a song can be played is limitless. I also have my teenage son on the team playing lead guitar so that it adds that live feel.
