Well I disconnected everything (so the keybed and its circuit boards. Leaving the ribbon cable unused). The idea for the rack version is to work around the problems the keyboard circuitboard gives. If there is no keyboard and circuit to generate problems, then the VFX will work hassle free. However, the VFX seems to need a keyboard to actually work.
