A suggestion: how about taking photos on the circuit board both sides so we can see what it is.

I keep thinking about getting a RAM cart and didn't know these "almost a RAM cart" existed. I have found some Ensoniq carts can be changed with the fitting of the correct RAM.

I'd also take a ROM dump too for scrutiny!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
