Diodes out on the PS will cause this, simple and cheap to replace them all.Rish
Sent from my iPodHi Everyone -
I'm new here and this is my first post.
I've got a VFX-SD that was upgraded to an SD-1/32. It's been sitting for a few years because of a problem with the display.
The problem that I WAS having is that the display was dead although all the other functions of the keyboard worked just fine. After some investigating I found that the filament voltage wasn't making it to the display board. I've corrected that problem, but now the keyboard won't come up at all.
At this point the disk drive light comes on but that's as far as it will go. It doesn't get past that point. I can sometimes get the display to print characters so it looks like the self test mode sometimes is active.
At this point I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting. I've found the schematics in the files section, but I'm hoping that this might be familiar with someone.
Thanks!

The zeners seem to be okay. Is the problem usually with the 1N4004s or the 1N5400s? I seem to be getting all the right voltages from the output of the power supply board.
Thanks!
