I replaced mine without taking out the motherboard. You have to get a battery with solder leads on it. This might be a good one to work at Radio Shack but they don't specify the length <http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3517750#> . This one also might work <http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10880893>. I'm not sure if 3.6v is what it needs or 3 volts which is the other link. I used a 3.6volt and it works fine. You can open your unit and see the battery located about in the middle of the keyboard on the pcb near the back wall. You might be able to see the voltage on it with a good light and magnifying glass. If you are not good at soldering and have a soldering iron get someone else to help. When you apply the heat for removing the old battery applying a little solder helps the heat flow. Good luck. --- In Ensoniq-VFX-SD@yahoogroups.com, "Bob C" <DJBobbyC@...> wrote: > > Has anyone replaced their battery on a VFX-SD? Is it difficult? Thanks in advance for this info. > > Bob >
