The Following:- SD1 32voice Has 32voice, but also has 21voice built in also. The 32voice machine recognizes the discs inserted in it, and switches accordingly. When you put a disk in it that was formatted on an older 21voice machine, your SD1 32v will switch to 21voice. When you re-insert a 32voice disk, it will switch back. If you have 32voice, every time you insert a disk, THEN access it, a message tells you whether it is 21 or 32 voices. If you are working on a project that is using 32voice, and you insert a 21voice disk, you will loose eleven voices, and you must re-insert a 32voice formatted disk to switch back to 32voice mode. There is no other way to change between 21 and 32 voices. The 32voice version of SD1 cannot format disk in 21voice, only 32voice format. SD1 32voice has "32voice" written in a red strip under "SD 1. There is no "VFX" written anywhere on the top casing. Not even small. Hope this helps Ralph :-)
