129 error - recalibration problem

129 error - recalibration problem

2004-03-27 by voodoozy

I have a VFX-SD (it's really an SD-1) that I got as a loaner. There is one patch on it that
seems to cause the 129 fatal error. All the other patches seem to be fine. It does some
other funky things, like sometimes you have to turn it on and off a few times before it
boots up OK. Hey it's old.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was anything I could/should do to make it run a little
more predictably...

Thanks in advance...

The patch is "DIST-GTR." Sounds great for about 2 notes, and the 129 fatal error kicks
in...

I remember faintly a patch that did this years ago, i'm not sure if
it is same patch as yours but I do rember it was on the talking
owners manual disk, I never got that one to work, if it is your
better off not to use the this patch.

Actually, I was able to determine that it wasn't the patch causing the problem - it's the
location in memory. When I loaded the sound into another memory location, i was able to
make the thing work. Weird stuff!
