Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hi, I recently brought howe a VFXsd and am having fun programming 
sonds and presets on in. I got the VSD-1000 floppy with it and 
loaded a bank of 60 +20 to int. Is it possible to erase what is on 
the disc, it is write protected, but I have a feeling I erased the 
whole thing after loading one full bank. The manual I have is for 
the first rev. VFX and so I don't have the chapter for the disc 
drive or the sequencer. Could someone help with that? It is just 
those two, really how to see the different sequncer tracks is what I

press SEQ then hit 1-6 or 7-10 in the peformance section and your  
patch names will be listed, if you have a period before a name you 
have something recorded, you can edit that track from that point. If 
you don't have a manual and this is not clear please ask more 
questions and someone will help.  

On the 1st part of the question if you think you erased the data on 
the disk you can recopy the data on the vfx, sounds and sequences by 
pressing storage (in the sequencer section)  then press save and 
scroll down to 60 programs, or 60 seq/songs if you created any 
sewquences, press yes , if you want to save those 60 programs with 
the seq's more the data entry slider to 60 and then press yes.

If you don't understand the different categories of information that 
can be saved or loaded I will post of brief disciption of each for 
you later. Hope this help a little.

Neil, hi. I am David. I don't mean to  toot my own horn here but I am so well acquainted with the VFX and SD1s that I may know more than the techs that used to support them. In fact, I had a MIDI problem many years back that Burt and others at Ensoniq could not figure out. Weeks later I called THEM with the solution. And it was an issue that the clever sequence programmers had the forsight to address. OK...Nevermind all that. 
 
So, is your floppy write protected? Tell me you know how to ascertain this! If you need the sounds off the disc I do in fact have them. I can mail but you pay postage. Your issue regarding the sequencer tracks is ambiguous. What are you trying to figure out? The most delightful aspect of the VFX and SD1 was the user friendly and very intuative sequencers. Be specific about your trouble and I can probably walk you though it. By the way, DO get the latest O.S. for your board. How? I dunno.. just do it! Likey you will find many sources online. .... DAYAMN!!! I just saw that I have my old VFX OS disc. No clue if it has OS or sequences stored on it. Just let me know what you need and dont sound so confusing about your issues.
