Transferring OS through MID

Transferring OS through MID

2004-05-18 by kazwell2002

I seem to have a problem with my disk drive reading my disks. I keep
getting an error stating that the disk data is bad-press any key to
continue. I know after putting in a half a dozen disks that I know are
good something HAS to be wrong with the disk drive. I have another
problem in that like many VFX owners have experienced, every now and
then the OS has to be loaded. Well actually, I have three problems. I
think one of my toddlers threw away my prized factory OS disk. When I
tried using my back-up OS disk, the drive did not seem to recognize
the OS. I then tried re-initializing and thats when the disk drive
stopped reading my sequences as well.
At this point in my career, I just want to use my VFX for studio work
and I have it connected to my PC.
If anyone has some quick fix suggestions for taking care of the disk
drive delemna I welcome it. I have a sick feeling I need a new one
though. My work around is that I downloaded an OS which is on my PC.
Is is even possible to load this file via midi?
I appreciate any and all suggestions here.
Thanks in advance.

Just checking:
Have you tried running a cleaner disk through your drive yet?

Make a joyful noise,
Nathan

The exercise of justice is joy for the righteous,
But is terror to the workers of iniquity.
