Hello Adolfo and Michael:
In addition to your mail concerning Effects in mode Patch and mode
Sequence, I'd like to remember that:
- It's true that the Sequence can (but not necessarily) use a
different Effect than the Patch. That may cause that the Patch in
the Seq. sounds different than the original one. You have to decide
if you prefer the Seq. Effect or the Patch Effect.
- If you are inside a Seq. and you want to "Replace Program" WITH
ITS OWN EFFECT (that is, the Seq. will use the Patch effect), you
can use a shortcut to avoid Copy&Paste operation. Just do as
indicated in Reference Manual, Page 5-8:
"To copy a program along with its effect into the sequence
(replacing the current sequence effect with the one in the program),
follow the procedure:
1)Press "TRACKS 1-6" or "TRACKS 7-12" and select the track to change
2)Press and hold "REPLACE PROGRAM"
3)While holding down "REPLACE PROGRAM", press Performance "EFFECTS"
4)Use the Bank buttons and the soft buttons to pick a sound. Each
time you pick a new sound its effect will become the sequence effect.
5)Press "REPLACE PROGRAM" again to exit Replace Program mode and
return to the Tracks page..."
If you skip point 3), the Sequence effect will not be replaced.
- If you are into SONG mode, remember that the Song can use its own
Effect, or can use the Effect of each sequence.
This is set with the "SEQ CONTROL" button: press it twice and
choose "SONG STEP EFFECT=SONG/SEQ".
As you know, choosing SEQ may cause a slight delay between the
Sequences while playing the Song (see other previous mails.
The VFX has only one Effects Processor, and we have to deal with
it...
(Stupid advice: Even if you have to pay more than you would like,
try to get a Reference Manual! It's really good and explains
subjects and details that are difficult to learn by yourself...
Meanwhile, don't hesitate to ask us any question)
Hasta pronto.
