Fine tuning saved sounds on SD-1

Fine tuning saved sounds on SD-1

2004-11-30 by Michael C Lesko

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me out with a pretty basic
problem. I'm working on some 80's covers
and they detuned synth sounds like crazy back then. I'm trying to "fine"
tune my sounds to match recordings and whenever
I attempt to do this through the "programming > pitch" parimeter, the
sounds I'm trying to alter will only detune and not
tune completely (if that makes any sense) What I mean to say is that I
can't save a programmed pitch change to an entire
sound, only a detune in the pitch parimeter. Now I can, and have for
practice, used the keyboard master tune to match
me with everyone else, but I wouldn't be able to do that efficiently on
stage. Is there any way to "fine" tune, not semitune
or detune a sound completely to save?

Just to clarify, what I mean my detune is that I will go into the pitch
parimeter and tune down or up the sound and half of
the sound will adjust while the other half stays at the current pitch. I
knew this in programming Oberheims as detune. The
problem for me exists with changes slighter than semitunes so adjusting
within my sequences doesn't help either. What
a pickle, can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Michael
