You have to do it on a Windows 98 O.S. You will require the software you will find at this site http://www.giebler.com/�Windows XP will not work with it. I have it, and it works very well.

at message 921 which explains the procedure to run Gieblers SW on Win98. And
message 1242 explains how it would work with XP.
John,
I wonder if you manage to run the Giebler SW from a Win98 command
prompt. As to my experience this would not work! (The program would
run but the floppies created would not work - see my articles). When did you buy
the Giebler SW? I havn't got any response from this
website.

Hey Hans. I will email an attachment of the text file for the Geibler app. in case you don't have one. It has instructions for the command prompt. I am no expert on this SW. All I can say is that it has always worked very well for me.

Search the net for a MIDI dump software. E.g. MIDIOX works fine and it's free. Connect your PC with MIDI cables to your VFX. You've to enable SYSEX receive in the VFX Master Menu. If you don't have a MIDI connection on your PC (e.g. game port with MIDI adapter cable) you can only try to get the Giebler SW (EDM = Ensoniq Disk Manager should do the trick). If it's a one time job, you could also email me the .sys files. I would transfer them to my SD, write a disk and return the disk image... Which you then could write to a floppy and use in your SD.
