VFX-SD System Error 137

Hi all, I'm new here...

Have a quick question, but first a bit of background.  Bought a
VFX-SD 
eons ago, and spilled an entire can of soda in/on it...thought it was 
ruined and didn't think I'd find a licensed repair shop.  Long story 
short, just had it repaired and it works beautifully (years later)!

Every time I attempt to load the sequencer, I get a system error 
137, ...any clue what this is?  It's been so long since I've used the 
thing...I'm lost.  Don't have the original floppys, manual..etc 
anymore.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wellcome to the group.
Sorry, I can't help on the error 137 message, as such, maybe it just 
needs the OS to be reinstalled. go to www.route66studios.com for the 
VFX SD OS file, you can download 
it from there. They may also have the manuals as well, but if not I 
have a 
mint condition owners manual left over from my VFX SD days (now I 
have an 
SD1)plus a spare one for the SQ1 as well.

Shredz.

The VFX SD manual is £10 (less p+p) depending on your location I may 
pay the p+p but this would depend on where you live and the cost to 
post it to you.

Hi, and welcome...
Error 137 is (as U may have expected) a Bad Sequencer Data.
You say U can´t load your seq. software.

OK - do the following: Press and hold [PRESETS] and press [MASTER].
In the display it will read the OS of the VFX and the OS of the keyb. 
controller.
When U know the OS of the VFX, U know what Seq. software U need; I 
might have it. (OS2.1, OS3, OS4)

Hi and welcome!

If U press and hold [PRESETS] and then press [MASTER] Your VFX will 
show U the OS version of the synth and the keybord. Post the version
of 
the OS here, and I might B able to get it. (OS2.1, OS3, OS4)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
