Nancy Faust - White Sox Stadium Organist

Nancy Faust - White Sox Stadium Organist

2005-10-28 by swomp_rabbit

Greetings,

The Chicago White Sox have obviously been getting a lot of exposure
as of late. Ran across a couple of pictures of their very popular
ballpark organist, Nancy Faust, and got curious about the equipment
she was using.

If you have got a spare minute or two, check out the pictures I have
posted under "Photos" on the menu located on the left side of the
groups homepage. Then look at the "Nancy Faust" album.

I am curious as to what the synthesizer is she has on top of the
organ. It appears to be an Ensoniq VFX/SD1 at first glance but
closer inspection on one of the photos you can see that there are
only "ten" soft buttons around the display and some additional
buttons between what would be the 'volume' and 'data entry' controls.

Can anyone identify what it is?

Swomp..

From the looks and with the RAM card slot to the right it can only be an
SQ-80.

Just went and checked one out at VintageSynth. Believe you are absolutely correct Hans.
Thanks....
