MIDI Transfert programs (with cable) problem

Hello, I have a problem with my MIDI cable. I use VFX LIBRARIAN for transfert programs to my computer of my vfx and I do not receive anything .. It's a problem of configuration of VFX? I have not a good program? (vfx librarian) I use MIDI Mate XP for connect my computer of my vfx I would like to want to create my programs ... Please, help ? Tonyo
