Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Sorry if I missed this elsewhere on the forum messages...

I'm interested in locating OS binaries (Hi and Lo) for various 
versions of the VFX OS.

I purchased a VFX which came with 1.7 and (because of my own 
stupidity) managed to ruin the Hi EPROM.  The unit seemed to have a 
problem when the 8 stage chorus effect was loaded.

I downloaded 2.1 from Ranier Buchty's site, but now have extreme but 
sporadic glitching in the effects section.  The problem manifests 
itself as digital noise in the reverb (lots of clicking, static type 
noise).

Anyway, I guess my questions at this time revolve around 2 separate 
issues:

- Anyone with 1.7 or 2.3 OS binaries or who can read them off their 
EPROMs.
 
- Anyone else experience trashed out effects and is the problem 
recoverable (maintenance or tweaking) or is the board now just trash.

I answered my own question - appears the ESP 5510 chip was bad, 
luckily I had one from an old SQ-1+/SQ-2 board I got on eBay a year 
or so back and installing it seems to have done the trick.

I'd still be interested in binaries for 2.3 OS ROMS if anyone has 
them or can pull them off their EPROMS.
