VFX/SD-1 Specs & Information
2006-02-15 by swomp_rabbit
To Moderator/Owner & Group Members.. . I was preparing to upload the information discussed below but after checking the available upload space of the group decided to hold off for the moment. This upload would use some 3.3 Meg of the remaining 3.6 Meg available. I did not feel comfortable using the remaining space unless so directed. If the "Moderator" or "Owner" can suggest an alternate method of making this info available to the Group I will get it posted - assuming any interest in such information. My original message follows: ******************************************************************** As we all know of recent there has been a lot of discussion with regard to upgrades and tech information with regard to the VFX's and SD-1's. I do not have a lot of information but am going to post what little info I do have in the files section. I am an original owner of both a VFX-SD and SD-1 and perhaps some of this info can at least be referenced from a historical/educational standpoint. Hopefully others of you who have access to some of the original specifications and information can do the same. I will be posting mine in `jpeg' files in a size format I consider easy to read. I will be starting two new "Main Folders" in the file section of our group as designated below: 1. VFX Specs & Info 2. SD-1 Specs & Info Here are the documents I have which I will then be posting under the applicable folder: 1. Ensoniq Authorized Repair Stations (1987) Note: I realize how very obsolete the `authorized repair station' information is, however it may help some who are close to those old repair stations since some may still do general equipment repair or have electronic techs still on the job who may have actually performed work on the Ensoniq units. 2. VFX Spec Sheet (Flyer) 3. VFX-SD Spec Sheet (Flyer) 4. VFX-SD OS Version 1.3 Upgrade Info 5. SD-1 32-Voice Manual Spec Sheet If there is any problem with how I have organized this information, the Group Moderator can organize the info to their liking if necessary. The group itself will have to make this section worth anything or not. I use to have a lot of the very old Transoniq Hacker newsletters also but I threw them away at some point just like my all my old baseball cards from the late 1940's thru the mid 1950's and I will just leave that `snafu' to your own imagination ..Grrrrrr! :) Later .. ********************************************************************
