Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

I have a Roland that is a sound canvas GM and the ensoniq sd-1 is 
supposed to handle the GM also, but I would like to know if there is a 
format option that allows these two to talk... I have not been able to 
get the GM working... Am I barking up a coconut tree that is dropping 
nuts on my head or what?

I don't think that the SD1 is equipped for GM sound mapping.
