dead octave

Hi all! I have a VFX-SD that I "inherited". It arrived with two problems: 1. a missing fuse cap 2. the classic keyboard calibration error I replaced the fuse holder with a Radio Shack model just to get the synth running (using the correct fuse). My problem is that the RS fuse holder is too large to fit through the existing hole. (I don't want to mod the case if possible). I still have the original fuse holder, just not the original cap that holds the fuse in that holder. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement easily? I've tried Syntaur but they are out of stock and have since delisted the part. On the keyboard: I did my research about the calibration errors, opened the beast up, and soldered the wire "bridge" as recommended. This seems to have fixed the problem, as I've not had the calibration error for many months of testing now. However, I still have a problem with the keyboard: the bottom octave requires excessive pressure for it to trigger. The octave works, but only if I whack it good. The rest of the keyboard works just fine. Because this affects the entire octave (C->B), I am doubtful that it is the result of "dirty contacts". Any ideas on how I can fix this? Much thanks, EmptySet
