Well, pop-sound comes from the VFX-output stage, which is not 'protected' with relays or some muting circuit, until stable power is establised. So You hear the 'sound' of the output stage 'starting up/shutting down'. One could build a relay circuit, that keeps the output off for a few seconds after power on, and cuts the output as soon power is gone. A 555-timer and a few other components can do the delay stuff. Well, even a single transistor, resistor and capacitor will suffice, but 555-s are dead easy and cheap, and can be made more precise in timing.

BUT, remember to use a high quality relay, since the precious sound have to go through it. It's a lot easier to just shot down connected gear, after the amp's ))

thanks for the response

anyone know why this pop happens with my vfx and not my other gear?
