VFX SD problem

VFX SD problem

2008-09-08 by familypro3

Hi,
I not only have the recaliberation error problem but also any sound
being played sounds as if the tuner is going slightly up and down.
This only starts to happen after it warms up. Even if only controlling
another sound via midi. Has anyone ever expierienced this problem
before and does the recaliberation error fix also fix this?

Thanks

Paul

My SD1 does this, temporary fix is exercising the pitch wheel (rock it back and forth rapidly for 5 minutes). Eventually I will replace the pot. I think it gets a 'flat spot' in the center. you can set the pitch bend range to zero to eliminate it also. I had recalibration error too, not related to the pitch issue.

Mine had the same problem. I used contact cleaner (I think it was Peavey branded) and sprayed it in all of the pots. I also *CAREFULLY* removed all of the plugable chips one at a time and cleaned their contacts too. Just be careful not to bend any of the pins.
