Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hello all, I am possessor of a VFX sd, I encounter a problem when his 
ignition, the keyboard tells me first of all the usual "Calibrating do 
not touch" and then to "keyboard is not responding" the keyboard does 
so well, everything is blocked ... That is the situation, if you have 
any ideas, suggestions or knowledge repairing such errors, I would be 
more than happy! ... A big Thank you to those who can answer me ...

The multi-way connector under the keys.  There's a helpful PDF about it 
in the file section.

Basically it involves opening the bonnet, lifting out the middle octave 
or so of keys, and soldering wire links across a notoriously flaky 
horrible connector.  You only need to do it once, and it's fixed for 
good ;-)

If you're not too well up on soldering and you can't find a musical 
instrument repair place, go and find your local electronics or amateur 
radio club, or a fairly clueful TV repairman.

Just as an aside, I'm happy to sort out any bits like this on people's 
VFXes, EPSes or whatever, as long as you bring it round to my place. 
I'm in the north-west of Scotland, though, so I appreciate this might be 
quite a trek for most of the people on the list...

If you're comfortable with electronics, I'd suggest opening your vfx
up and disconnecting / reconnecting every cable and connector in the
path from your motherboard to the keyboard.

But that's ONLY if you're 100% comfortable your electronics skills are
good enough that you won't screw it up doing such a thing.
