Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

A friend and I are trying to MIDI sync my VFX-SD to Protools 8, and although the keyboard receives the song start signal and starts playing back sequences, it doesn't actually stay in synch with Protools. The global MIDI settings are all default, and this happens with different sequences. Of course the Ensoniq is set to use an external clock in the Seq Control page. Any suggestions?

Suggest clicking on the Seq Control button and select clock = midi   tempo will automatically goto external

Never mind, turns out it was some bizarre problem with the MIDI interface. Still not entirely sure what it was but using a different interface seems to have solved it. Hopefully this will be the last dumb question I have to pose around here. :)
