does the VFX retain patches after power down?

does the VFX retain patches after power down?

Am i doing this wrong? i sysex dump a full bank of patches and it does not 
retain them after poweroff. I just replaced the battery and the diagnostics 
say battery voltage is fine...

Yes, patches are normally retained after power down.

This loss of patches is the symptom of a low or dead battery but if you just replaced....then it is something more than that.....

thats odd... i really dont want to take this thing up to thesoniq  just 
before i sell it

is it possible that the voltage is high enough to not trip the "battery low" 
function but too low to power the memory?

The unit functions fine otherwise...

which bank is the user bank? maybe i need to target that bank in my systex 
dumps...
