SD1 problem

SD1 problem

2013-06-06 by tjiyf

My trusted SD1 has developed a problem which i cant seem to get round, every time i play a note or chord to sound does not stop I.E., it continually sustains like a midi glitch. i have also tried an external midi keyboard and the result is the same.
when sounds are played by the sequencer it is fine.
If anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong i would be really grateful.

Hello. Here is one thing you can try: Plug in a sustain pedal, trun the power on, press and release the pedal, then power off.
If the SD-1 in powered OFF whan the sustain pedal is still pressed, it can LOCK the circuitry into sustain-on condition.

Create a program that only uses one voice and minimum release time. repeatedly play notes to cycle through 21 or 32 notes (Whichever version you have). If you still hear sustain, recheck the release on all programs that it occurs on. If that doesn't help then you have what I had and you'll need to have a pro deal with it. I don't remember what was replaced on mine but it had to do with vca's.
