VFX remembers the channels selected

VFX remembers the channels selected

2003-08-29 by gottamakethings

Wow, had a VFX-SD since day 1 and I am not sure I have ever posted!

Here's the question, and please no RTFM replies. I use the VFX
primarily as a controller for my MR Rack and some other Synth's. I
use the Sequencer to define all the instruments, their channels and
their zones etc.

Recently, I noticed that when I go to the sequence, it is remembering
whatever patches (ext channels) I had active last time I was playing.
I don't "save changes" when I go between sequences, so I am
wondering; Did it always work this way? I figure one of you guys
probably knows. I just don't rememmber it working like this and I
have been playing it for like 12 years.

As long as we are on the subject of the VFX - one of the greatest
keyboards ever made, I occasionally have gotten an evil reset that
caused me to load my (original) floppy with the operating system back
in. I am not sure how to make a back up of this disk and I carry it
to gigs with me every couple of weeks. Is the only answer getting my
old Geibler stuff to load on my Win Millineum machine and try to do
it that way?

Thanks for any response you guys may have.

Dan
