SD-1 OS Upgrade

I have an Ensoniq SD-1 with the following ...
ROM v 3.00
KP V 232
Do I have to replace the ROM to upgrade the OS? I have the 4.10 OS floppy.
If I need the ROM (EEPROM), anyone know where I can get the HEX file to burn the EPROM myself?
